I've come back.

2 years and a couple of days on for some reason I have decided to be inspired and to start blogging again.

I'm not going to join in the twitter world. I really don't see the point.
If people don't know already.. I'm going to be a dad in July! This is all life changing, exciting, scary stuff all at the same time. I can't believe that so much has happened!

I'm just so thankful to God for all that He's allowed me to be part of recently.
With awesome kids club growing (we had a record number at the last one of this term!).. and two weekends away and a big regional weekend away coming up I'm so excited at what God has got in store for us all. I hope and I pray that I'm inspired and focussed for Him and that I bring Him glory and honour in everything that I do.

Well I'm sure that I'll post again soon.. And if noone reads this... oh well....

Can't believe how fast time is flying!

There's actually so much to tell you all about so I guess I best get started!

There is a new addition to the Jones family coming very soon!
No! Fliss isn't expecting.. I have a new puppet on its way. I'm quite excited about its arrival as it will be my first puppet with human hands instead of rod hands - so there will be loads more it can do! I'm including a picture.. right now..
I'm still trying to work out a name for him so if you have any ideas then send them my way!

Awesome

Next bit of exciting news is the launch of the new kids work at WBC. It's called awesome and will be launching on 20th feb. I'm really excited about what God has in store for us. And i'm sure the unnamed above will be coming along quite regularly! And for your delight.. here's the logo....


There will be puppets, songs, upfront challenges, games and so much more I'm quite excited about it all really!




My wife and I
Fliss and I are good. We've been married almost 5 months which seems to have flown by! But we're very busy and sometimes it is hard to actually get proper time together.. but one day we'll get that sorted.

My job and I
I can't quite believe that I've just finished my 2nd year in my current position. That time has flown by. I am trying to stop and listen to God to find out where he wants me to be. So that's quite an interesting time. But exciting all the same. Obviously because of Mrs Jones i can't just decide to up and leave and go back up north or all the way to Australia or something.

I've got two holiday clubs coming up in a week. which is a bit scary. it's based on joseph and there'll be lots of mayhem so hopefully I'll manage to get all that done! I'm quite excited at the teams so hopefully we'll have a good time getting to know one another better.

I've gone into some new schools recently to improve church/school relationships so hopefully I can progress those further too.

Well it's been and gone and it was great fun! The band were amazing.. and the dj was funky. Chocolate fountains were great fun to be in charge of... and chocolate went everywhere! Great to see so many people there and so many reality peeps. GO LAKENHAM!
There's so much to update you all on as it's now 2007. but will do that very soon!!!

My wife told me to update my blog as I'm bored.. so here's my update!

Well we've been married for over a month now.. It's scary how quickly it all seems to be going... but its all good all the same.

I'd like to say that its not scary living with a girl... but...

after seeing a face like this... sometimes my wife brings me to tears... of fear!!
As you can imagine. I'm actually joking! and she is lovely....

We have started painting our bedroom a lovely chocolate colour!!! (apparently!) and we're still learning how we fit our work lives around the rest of our lives... it is sometimes difficult.. especially working for three churches!

On a more sadder note.. my brother and the rest of our family including me are going through a difficult time. Some of you might know what it is.. but if you're into that praying thing then prayers for my bro, Lorna and the kids would be much appreciated....

work wise.. busy and trying to work out a lot of stuff... so pray for that too.. will fill you in more...

i best go as this seems to be quite a boring post... bye

All honeymooned!

Well I'm back with my good lady wife in tow!

We're enjoying the final part of our honeymoon back in the uk.
The wedding was a fantastic day. the weather was hot but not too hot. The worship was great. the ceremony was great and my wife is great.

On our wedding night my best man (and best friend) and his wife (and two boys) gave us an amazing gift of paying for our first night together in a lovely hotel which remained a secret until we were driven there by another of our friends. It was a fantastic gift and a fantastic time as Mr and Mrs Jones.

We then returned to our house and spent a couple of days resting and opening some of our presents and then it was off to crete for a week. That was also fantastic. food was good. honeymooning was good. all was good!... well more than good but I didn't want you to get too over excited!

We're now back in our house - I've been making a CD shelf today... get me and my all grown up-ness. We're also waiting for the rest of our wedding presents to arrive.. which we're looking forward to being swamped with boxes and bags and things. It's been amazing to see how generous our friends and family have been towards us as we venture out as Mr and Mrs Jones.

Going back to work will be weird! Having to do work will be one shock
and not having the wedding planning looming over us both will be odd too. But for me my work life seems to be promising an exciting time ahead so in one way I will be glad to get back to it... we also have to get used to a normal term-time routine as well.

Well I best be off and be all dutiful to my wife!

I can't believe it!!!

I really can't believe how fast the wedding is coming around.
its scary to think that in just over a fortnight i'll be on my honeymoon with the new Mrs Jones!!!!!

I survived my stag day (just!) I'm still aching from paintballing and recovering from the fact that I was covered from head to toe in shaving foam and ketchup (including down my pants!) I'll supply a photo when I get round to it. All in all it was a good day though and great to see people.

I'm sure I have more to say but I'll write again soon (see!! I kept my promise!)
